John McManusBackgroundJohn McManus has spent over 25 years in manufacturing management and joined the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) in 2008. His industrial experience includes senior Operational and General Management positions in divisions of multinational PLCs as well as small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. He has also spent 6 years working for a specialist consultancy focusing on World Class Manufacturing implementation and sustainability. John is a member of a team that is responsible for developing innovative services to support small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMM) in the Eastern region. This has led to many successful interventions that have brought about significant improvements to the businesses involved and raised the profile of the IfM. John has a particular interest in the implementation of World Class Manufacturing tools to create sustainable step changes in business performance and profitability. John has a B. Eng (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering, and has completed the Fellowship in Manufacturing Management programme at Cranfield University. John is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology. |
