Jana Leonora Strauss joined the Institute for Manufacturing in September 2020 as a Visiting Graduate Student. While being supported by the DAAD IFI scholarship, she is currently writing a journal manuscript focusing on digital resilience of platform ecosystems in times of Covid-19 under the supervision of Dr Florian Urmetzer. Jana is pursuing a degree in the Master’s Program ‘Finance and Information Management‘ with a focus on Analytics and Digital Business, a cooperation between the University of Augsburg, the University of Bayreuth, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Elite Network of Bavaria. During her studies, Jana gained research experience across multiple research projects within the Automotive industry in Mexico and Industry 4.0 in Germany. She also worked as a research assistant at the Chair for Information Systems and Management at the University of Augsburg. In addition to her research activities, she has also gained practical industry experience by working for the BMW Group in Munich and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Mexico City where she developed digital solutions for new mobility concepts within cities. As an extension to her main interest in digital topics, she has participated in a number of activities such as the HILTI Global IT Competition (April 2019) in which she and her team secured a place in the finals in Kuala Lumpur. In her spare time, she is passionate about outdoor sports such as hiking, climbing and road cycling.
