Dr Belinda ClarkeBackgroundPreviously Life Sciences Manager for the East of England, aligning the regional economic strategy and investments with business needs, market opportunities and UK policy. Her responsibilities included setting and overseeing EEDA's strategy for the health and life sciences sector in the region to support business innovation and enhance economic growth. QualificationsBelinda has a first degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the University of East Anglia (John Innes Centre). She is a Chartered Biologist (Society for Biology) and holds a Level 5 Award in Business Coaching from the Chartered Management Institute. Current RoleBelinda is based at the University of Cambridge’s ideaSpace, where she focusses on the development of innovation ecosystems in the UK and beyond. She is an experienced practitioner at the interface of the public and private sectors in the greater Cambridge and east of England innovation ecosystems. Belinda has over 15 years of experience gained developing functional and effective ecosystems at a variety of scales, in complex multi-stakeholder environments, ranging from an individual science park to subnational clusters focussing on a particular sector. The ideaSpace Enterprise Accelerator is funded by the Hauser-Raspe Foundation with the support of the East of England Development Agency.
