Research Associate

Inkjet Research

Research interests

  • Fluid dynamics, drops, jets, free surface flows
  • Flow velocimetry
  • Time series analysis, non-linear systems and synchronisation.
  • Additive manufacturing/3D Printing

Background

Alfonso joined the Inkjet Research Centre as a Research Associate in April 2011. Alfonso did his MSc (Physics) at the National University of Mexico and his DPhil in Physics at the University of Oxford (Lady Margaret Hall). From October 2007 to March 2011, he was a Research Associate at the Clarendon Laboratory in Oxford funded by the National Environmental Research Council (NERC) . Alfonso is a member of St. John's College Cambridge and a senior member of Lady Margaret Hall Oxford. His research interests are focused on fundamental studies in fluid dynamics and non-linear systems.
