Service Network Configuration

Chief operating officers of high value manufactures engaged in service provision often have to work closely with a complex network of customer groups, partner delivery organisations and service suppliers all engaged in "co-creating" value in use. The heterogeneous nature of service ensures that network design is both complex and critical to the ability of any particular stakeholder to generate value. Transformation to Service Operations

Many manufacturers are planning or implementing business change to provide service based on their traditional manufactured product - the service transformation. Chief operating officers and chief technical officers are aware that this requires a significant shift in culture and behaviour at both individual and organisational level but should recognise that established organisation design tools are not suitable for service operations.
