PhD Places with the Cambridge Service Alliance

The Cambridge Service Alliance (see www.cambridgeservicealliance.org) invites high quality applicants for doctoral research places. Successful applicants will register for a PhD at the University of Cambridge. We are interested in hearing from well-qualified candidates who are interested in studying one of three broad topics:

  1. Business model innovation for services – what are the new and innovative business models that we will see emerge in the 21st century? How will these business models be enabled by technology, including information and communication technology?
  2. Service and support engineering capability – many engineering firms now offer service and support to their products. What new organizational and technical capabilities do these firms have to develop to excel in service and support? What are the options for developing and acquiring these capabilities?
  3. Performance information and analytics – increasingly organisations are turning to performance information and analytics to support the delivery and management of industrial services. How can we design and deploy performance information and analytics systems that are appropriate for networked organizations?

Appointment to these studentships will be a highly competitive process so only exceptional candidates need apply. Funding may be available to suitably qualified applicants. To register your interest please send a cv and covering letter explaining why you would be suitable to Professor Andy Neely, Director of the Cambridge Service Alliance.
