Technology and innovation management

Three day training course 27-29 March 2012, Jesus College, Cambridge

This intensive three-day course will help managers to understand and to use the key tools and techniques needed to fully exploit technological investments and opportunities.

Who should attend?

The course will be suitable for managers involved in all stages of product realisation from R&D to customer support including technologists, product managers, manufacturing managers, strategic planners and consultants.

Course approach

This three-day course comprises a stimulating mix of taught modules, discussion, cases and practical activities, together with pre-reading and pre-module 'audit'. There is also an opportunity for continuing support from participation in an active network of industrialists and academics.

Course leaders

The course will be presented by members of the Institute's Centre for Technology Management (CTM). CTM's research covers a broad range of issues, providing industrial technology managers and the wider community with a unique resource for investigating effective TM practices. Course presenters have extensive industrial experience at a senior level.

Course location

The course will run over three days from Tuesday 27th to Thursday 29th March 2012. It will be held in Jesus College, a 500-year old college, set in spacious grounds in the heart of Cambridge.

Parking is available on site.

Programme

The course will commence at 9.00 am on Tuesday 27th March and close at 4.30 pm on Thursday 29th March. A timetable will be sent to delegates prior to the event.

Costs

Course fee

An 'earlybird' fee of £2,035 plus VAT ( £ 2442.00 inc.), applies until Monday 27 February 2012. The fee includes the course dinner on the Wednesday evening and all daytime refreshments.

Accommodation

Delegates may book comfortable ensuite accommodation at Jesus College for the nights of 26, 27 and 28 March (with an evening meal on the 27th March) at an additional cost of £255 plus VAT (£306 including VAT).

Cancellations

Substitutions may be made at any time. Bookings cancelled less than four weeks prior to the event will be charged in full. The Institute for Manufacturing reserves the right to pass on any charges for cancellation of accommodation.
