Innovation and Design Management ClubAn opportunity for managers of innovation, marketing and design in small and medium-sized companies to:
The Innovation and Design Management Club provides a forum for companies to share their experiences of managing innovation and design, learn from the practices of others and engage in the development of new approaches. The IDM Club is organised and facilitiated by the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM). Meetings are informal and designed to encourage maximum participation from members. They are held in Selwyn College, Cambridge and include a threecourse dinner as well as presentations and discussion. There are also be opportunities to hear about the latest research into innovation and design at the IfM. Numbers are restricted to no more than 25 to ensure participants receive maximum benefit. AudienceThe club is explicitly aimed at managers of small and medium-sized firms. It seeks to bring together middle and senior managers from across the range of business functions who have a key input to innovation, including those working in design, marketing and technology development. Participants might be new to the job of managing projects wanting to gain fresh ideas, or senior directors with a desire to share their experience and gain insight into new ways of working. The confidentiality and commercial sensitivity of participants is respected.
