Haihua (Helen) ZhangHaihua (Helen) joined IfM as a PhD candidate in October 2010. Her challenge is to find the convergence between culture and engineering, and contribute to the integration of global manufacturing networks. She is inspired and supervised by Dr Yongjiang Shi. Her mentor and consulting supervisor is Dr Charles Hampden-Turner. BackgroundHelen was born and raised in China, lived and worked in Australia for 8 years before relocating back to Beijing in 2002. She has over 20 years experience working in management consulting, executive training and in management positions in Australia and the China region. Before starting her PhD studies Helen ran her own consulting business ChinaTime Inc. (www.chinatimeinc.com) established in 2005. She is also a sought after speaker on China related topics, as well as regularly contributing to 'China Daily', China's only national/international English newspaper. Helen holds an MBA and a Master of Business in Finance from University of Technology, Sydney, Australia and a BA (English Language and Literature) from Peking University, China. PublicationsBooks
