IfM Briefing Day

More than one hundred senior representatives from industry, government and UK and multi-national companies attended the third successive IfM Briefing Day.

The Briefing Day offers a host of interactive sessions for senior industrialists presenting the latest research, practical approaches and applied case studies from the Institute for Manufacturing.

The day is an opportunity to unveil, promote and discuss the latest research into key industrial issues whilst discussing the practical tools and techniques derived from this research. It also facilitates the meeting of leading researches in their fields, covering a wide spectrum of manufacturing, from production to service.

As part of the day, senior practitioners present case study examples of recent industrial collaborations, allowing further insight into the work conducted using research based tools and techniques here at the IfM.

Importantly, this day contributes to promote future research. The day offers the chance to explore the opportunities to engage with the IfM through collaborative projects, educational programmes and consultancy services through IfM ECS.
