AssociationsInternational Association for Management of Technology IAMOT is an important source for international news/information in MoT and a forum for exchange of ideas. Membership of the association is available for those who meet the membership pre-requisites. IAMOT hosts a yearly international conference on MoT. The site contains listings of new books in MoT, IAMOT Newsletter, Events Diary, and links to relevant sites around the world. The European Industrial Research Management Association promotes R&D and innovation management activities. Membership is restricted to the industrial community although collaborations exist with academic institutions. Research papers/reports from working groups, workshops and conferences can be ordered on-line. Product Development & Management Association PDMA is a non-profit organisation aimed at developing, organising and disseminating information on the theory and practice of product development and product development processes. The site is managed by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences of the USA. Information contained in the 'informs' database can be accessed through a keyword search. The academy is a USA based professional society for managers. A number of interest groups/divisions exist within the academy including Technology and Innovation Management. Association of European Operational Research Societies The EURO provides education, conducts research, and organises conferences. It also publishes the European Journal of Operations Research. The site includes links to operations research organisations and related publications. International Society for Professional Innovation Management is a small international society promoting the practice of innovation management within organisations. Its activities are aimed at academics, business leaders, and management consultants. The society organises international conferences. NITM - National Institute for Technology Management The National Institute of Technology Management is the flagship organisation for technology management in Ireland.The Institute was established in 1997 with the support of Enterprise Ireland, as part of the Government's initiative to develop innovation and transform Ireland into a Knowledge Based Economy

ECCH has a collection of business and management case studies from a world wide network of business schools and individual authors. The titles can be searched on the site but subscription of full case materials require a fee. Bnet is a Cambridge based company offering information on business management. Subjects include Innovation and Research, and Manufacturing. Information on each subject is categorised into Management Guides, Case Studies, Abstracts and Extracts, Directories, and List of Events. Information sources include dti, CBI, and the European Union. A fee is charged to organisations before the database can be accessed. The service to free to individual business students. Funding BodiesDepartment for Trade and Industry The dti provides support to UK industries through provision of funds and information services. A number initiatives exists for SMIs and R&D/ Technology Transfer intensive organisations through dti's Foresight activities. Information on dti assistance can be found under the 'Business Support' section of the site. The programme is funded by the government to support the activities of both the UK industrial sector and academia. A number of focus areas are identified and include Manufacturing, Production and Business Processes.
Further LinksThe Management Archive The archive can be considered as an electronic library for a wide range of information on management subjects. Listings are made under some useful categories: working papers archive, management teaching and training archive, e.mail discussion lists, conference information, management related software, etc. TAG Technology Transfer Resources The Technology Applications Groups (TAG) of NASA has links to technology transfer resources from NASA and other external sites. MiscellaneousManagement of Technology Message Board (JISCMAIL) The site is forum for discussion on issues relating to Mamagement of Technology. Individuals can join the list free of charge by sending an e.mail. Information such as e.mail addresses of members and messages can be viewed on the site.
PublicationsInderscience: International Journal of Technology Management IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management The transactions are produced quarterly in the form of a journal by the IEEE Engineering Management Society of the USA. The contents are research based and refereed. There are approximately 10,000 subscribers to the journal. The site contains abstracts of articles and information on conferences in Engineering Management and MoT. Harvard Business Review has a very wide readership and covers a wide range of business and management issues. Abstracts of current issue are listed on the site. Lists books currently available and forthcoming in the IEE MoT Series. Short abstracts are available for each book. Books can be purchased directly from IEE. The Journal of Product Innovation Management is useful for people interested in MoT, particularly those interested in the wider managerial implications of new product innovation. Abstracts of articles are included on the site. The 'Public Square' section of the site has some interesting categories including hot topics, book reviews, etc. Journal of Engineering and Technology Management This is an international scholarly refereed research journal. It covers a wide range of topics including NPI, strategic planning, technology forecasting, R&D management etc. Abstracts are unavailable. This international journal focuses on issues relating to R&D management. Articles are authored by both practitioners and academics. Abstracts are unavailable. Research Technology Management The journal focuses on issues relating R&D management research. The site contains abstracts of articles. The last Portland International Conference on Management of Engineering and Technology was held in July 2003. The proceedings contain papers from international researchers and practitioners in the field of MoT. They can be purchased from the organisers in hard copy or in CD-ROM. The conference is organised every 2 years. The next conference is in July 2005.

Research CentresINSEAD is a French based internationally renowned business and management school. It conducts research in a variety of fields including technology management (including IT and engineering technology), and management and strategy. Abstracts of recently published working papers are listed and can be ordered on-line. The school also offers postgraduate programmes at MBA and Ph.D. levels. CENTRIM- University of Brighton Centre for Research in Innovation Management is based within the University of Brighton Business School. It provides training, education, research and consultancy services. Its current research projects and publications are listed. The Management of Innovation and New Technology Research Centre is based within the McMaster University. The centre is Canada's first innovation research centre. The site contains information on upcoming events in the field and links to sites around the world.
