Cambridge Academic Publication Workshops – 22 and 23 September 2011Workshops will be used to support Special Issue Journals on selected topics associated with International Manufacturing. Similarly, additional contributions will be sought for a Cambridge University Press Book on the theme of International Manufacturing - Design and Operation. We hope to prepare a book on the topics covered in our recent Symposia, titled ‘International Manufacturing’ to be submitted for publication by Cambridge University Press. The papers presented at this conference will be by invitation only to a select group of researchers who will prepare a short (maximum 6,000 words) paper for presentation at the workshop the topic of International Manufacturing with the intention that an extended version will subsequently be published in the planned book described above. Workshop 2Network Design of International Operations – a Review of Research and Practice Candidate Journal: International Journal of Operations and Production Management (IJOPM)
Workshop 3Emerging Industries Supply Network Candidate Journal: International Journal of Manufacturing and Technology Management (IJMTM)
Workshop 4Supply Network-based Product Innovation Candidate Journal: International Journal of Product Development (IJPD).
Each of these academic workshops will involve an open call, require the submission of an abstract and a paper using our usual Symposium formats (link to paper template). However, only selected papers will be invited to present at the workshop. Following the workshops, the selected presenters will join an open call for submission to the candidate special issue journals, the timetable for which will be announced shortly as we finalise discussions with the respective editors. For the book publication, we expect this to be contracted before Special Issues publications.
